At The British Bee Charity, we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to help the welfare of bees. With an array of fundraising events and volunteer projects, we welcome you to join our endeavours aimed at making the world and our environment a better place. ADOPT A HIVE

Since 2017, our success in helping the bees and the wider community has been made possible thanks to people just like you. Our Adopt a Hive Scheme makes a fantastic gift for a friend, a family member or even yourself.

Kids Learning About Bees
Bees4Schools

Bees4Schools is a British Bee Charity initiative. Schools which have a secure, safe area to locate a working hive on, can take this opportunity to move the classroom outside. Enabling children to understand the inner workings of a hive and honey production, how bees live, their lifecycle and the modern environmental factors that affect them.

The grant is open for all UK schools to apply for.

Successful applications will receive a 100% grant for the following items.

  1. A full National Bee Hive with Brood Box, 2 x Supers, OM floor, Queen Excluder, Crown Board and Gabled Roof
  2. National Bee Hive Stand with Landing Board
  3. Colony of Honeybees
  4. Frames and Foundation
  5. 10 x Childrens Bee Suits
  6. 2 x Adult Bee Suits
  7. 3 x Hive Tools
  8. 1 x Bee Smoker

BEEBOMBS4SCHOOLS

BeeBombs4Schools is a British Bee Charity initiative.

The scheme is open to all junior schools in the UK and is free.

The British Bee Charity will send you an educational pack, together with BeeBombs which are native, wildflower seedballs, handmade in Dorset.

The educational pack will include a powerpoint presentation with teacher notes. The presentation explains to the children the plight of bees and other pollinators and how we can each do our bit to help them, like planting pollinator friendly flowers.

Packs are limited so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
